Pain Therapy

Chronic pain is the third most common health problem in the United States, affecting an estimated 75-85 million people leaving more than one-third partially or totally disabled.

Congress declared 2001-2010 to be "The Decade of Pain Control and Research." Pain is beginning to receive significant national attention resulting in more effective pain management.

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), Neuromuscular Stimulation (NMES), and Inferential Stimulation (IF) are techniques whereby low level electrical stimulation is used to provide therapeutic relief of pain. These therapies have been employed by pain specialists and other specialty health care providers since the mid-1970's.

Efficacy and safety of TENS, NMES, and IF therapies have been proven in multiple clinical studies and these therapies are recognized and regulated by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA).
